Belarus intends to become the CIS leader of the blockchain technology

According to the President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, digital economy development will be the key priority of Belarus. He made the announcement during the meeting on the decree ‘Concerning the development of the digital economy,’ reports BelTA.

The President thinks that human capital plays a vital role here. Hence, the country should become an attractive place for highly-trained specialists and international corporate groups.

Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that Belarus can take the lead in AI, Big Data, and blockchain technology among CIS countries.

What is more, the President of Belarus guaranteed that IT entrepreneurs would work under favorable conditions for the development of business and other innovative products. However, the country needs their feedback and regular tax payment.
